“This is my family. I found it all on my own. Its little, and broken, but still good. Yeah. Still good.”

-Stitch

As with most families, we have been through some difficult times. I believe nearly all families experience struggles, devastation, scars, heartache if you know them well enough. Along with the difficult times can be great times. Sometimes the struggles are too much, and the unit crumbles. Sometimes it strengthens the bonds. Often on social media, we see families that look perfect. Often that is not reality. Our family is not perfect. We have suffered, have been broken, shed lots of tears. We stick together and get through it together.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
